Arkansas Plant Food Association Scholarship Support

The purpose of the Arkansas Plant Food Association (APFA) Scholarship Program is to assist students pursuing careers in the agricultural field with an interest in soil fertility. These fields include soil science, agronomy, plant nutrition, soil chemistry, soil microbiology, horticulture, environmental science, agriculture business and various related disciplines within the colleges of agriculture. Funding for the scholarship program is made possible by the membership of the APFA via meetings and fund-raising events.

Scholarships at Arkansas State University are the APFA Endowed Scholarship and the Jerry Berry Endowed Scholarship.

Scholarships at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville are the Wayne Sabbe Endowed Scholarship and the Woody Miley Endowed Scholarship.

Applying for ACPA Scholarships

Scholarships are provided through Arkansas State University and the University of Arkansas Dale Bumpers College of Agriculture and Life Science. Interested applicants should contact the scholarship department at the respective Universities.

Arkansas State University

The Privately Funded Scholarship application is open from October 1 thru February 1 for the upcoming academic year. For example, the currently applicant is applying for the 2027-2028 academic year. The scholarship application process is open to all current AState students as well as current High School Seniors and transfer students who have been accepted to AState.

University of Arkansas

The Privately Funded Scholarship application is open from October 1 thru February 15 for the upcoming academic year. For example, the current applicant is applying for the 2027-2028 academic year. The scholarship application process is open to all current University of Arkansas students as well as current High School Seniors and transfer students who have been accepted to the University of Arkansas.
